Bea's Vintage Tea Rooms
Step back in time when you enter Bea's charming Vintage Tea Rooms next to the Assembly Rooms and Fashion Museum on Saville Row in Bath. Decorated in authentic 1930s/1940s style from the dainty china tea sets and embroidered tablecloths to the ceiling lampshades, bevelled mirrors and wartime posters. It offers a blissful retreat from the hustle and bustle of this popular historic city.Retire to the comfortable sofa reminiscent of Gran while you browse wartime recipe leaflets and admire patriotic posters. Or sit at a table, to be served by smiling staff in period pinnies, bright red lipstick and landgirl bandanas, serenaded by the music of those momentous moments.The patisserie cabinet is full of delightful homemade cakes and the renowned buttermilk scones. Breakfast offers the traditional - eggie soldiers, West Country Porridge (made with 3 different types of oats) to scrambled eggs with smoked salmon. The lunch fare is all homemade - soups, quiche, pies, wartime ploughman's and yummy toasted sandwiches. The three-tiered traditional Afternoon Tea is a feast for the eyes and the leaf tea is of the finest quality as is the single origin coffee served in a cafetiere.
Please note that we do not operate a reservation system but we do have a private room that can be booked and paid for in advance for a minimum of 10 people to a maximum of 20.
