One of the main reasons I decided to write my Top 100 Attractions range of books, was not because of the large number of huge attractions in the world, but more as a consequence of how many hidden gem attractions there are! Bryngarw House & Country Park are a fine example of that previous statement. One hundred and thirteen acres of amazing parkland and gardens is what awaits you here at this attraction, and the team of rangers, in fact all of the team at Bryngarw have dedication oozing from every pore as they are clearly passionate about every single acre. Another great feature at Bryngarw is the ‘Keepers' audio trail. A lot of work has gone into the keepers story and located around the whole of the park these keepers will take you on a journey of discovery that show you just how important nature and human beings are completely at one with each other, or at least should be!
Bryngarw House and Country Park
There's no better way to explore Bryngarw Country Park than by putting on your wellies and following the Keepers quest. Collect your map and star talisman from Cedars Tea Room and see if you can find the Keepers of the Meadow, Woodland, River and Garden; the ancient guardians of the story of the land. Once you've found them, use the magical talisman to ‘awaken' each Keeper and hear the stories of Bryngarw's wildlife and landscape brought to life. With an annual programme of courses, guided walks and events, you will not only explore the wildlife but learn about the folklore and traditional uses of our native plants and trees, the origins of our seasonal festivals and have a chance to experience first-hand some of the traditional customs and crafts of our ancestors.
