Clone House

Guest House / B&Bs

Clone House

The House overlooks the patchwork beauty of gorse, woodland and fertile fields, with roadways of embracing trees leading you to the gates. Clone House is a gem hidden in the garden of Ireland. From the elegant and sun filled Georgian reception rooms to the old world cosiness of the parlour which dates from 1670, Clone house is steeped in history, folklore and tales of do and dare associated with Irish history.

Your hosts are the Ó Lorcáin family who can trace their origins in the Ancient Book of Munster as being the third clan of Ireland after the family of Brian Boru the first high king of Ireland.

Being of such rich Gaelic origins one can only expect the best of an Irish welcome. Enjoy freshly baked bread for breakfast or homely country house dinners from carefully chosen ingredients.
The house keeping is second to none and it is a pleasure to lay your head and immerse yourself in the fresh crisply laundered bedlinen.

The informal and relaxed atmosphere of the house and the hosts and its hidden location, can lead you to feel that you are getting further from the madding crowd the longer you stay.

Clone House is an ideal oasis of peace and calm to return to after an active day of being out and about among the discreet subtle beauty of Co. Wicklow. One can then enjoy the serene tranquillity of the house and the warm hospitality of your hosts.
