River Explorer Cruise

Hop aboard a Mersey Ferry River Explorer Cruise for stunning views, fascinating history and unlimited sea air!

An iconic Mersey Ferry will take you on a 50-minute journey that lets you explore the River Mersey's rich past...and present. Listen to an engaging commentary of your surroundings whilst also seeing the unrivalled and ever evolving UNESCO world heritage waterfront from the deck of this famous ferry.

River Explorer Cruises depart hourly from the 3 Mersey Ferry terminals and also give you the opportunity to break your journey at any one of them. A popular choice for many is to make a day of it and by adding a trip to Spaceport and U-boat Story.

A world famous ferry... THE way to see Liverpool!

Author's Review

They have sung songs about it; they have written plays about it, they have even made films on it! That's why we have voted the Mersey Ferries as one of the Top 100 Attractions in Northwest England. Taking a trip across the River Mersey is quite breath-taking when you imagine all the history that has happened on these murky waters. I was quite lucky with the weather on the day I travelled but I wouldn't have cared if it had been raining, as the atmosphere on the boat is all that's needed to make this iconic trip a memorable one.
