Author's Review

There were once at least 2000 stately homes throughout the country of Ireland, now it saddens me to say there are only a couple of hundred. One of those left to tell its tales is Russborough House & Gardens. I have to say I am no stranger to Russborough, having first visited here in 2003, it is a house and garden that is most certainly worthy of our Top 100 Attractions title. But I am not the first travel journalist to have wrote about how great this house is, hundreds have gone before me. Room after room of historic stories good and bad, and acre after acre of beautiful yet simple gardens and parklands await you, and another thing I admire about Russborough is that you can literally stay as long or as little as you like. Based in Ireland’s biggest garden Co. Wicklow, this house along with its gardens is not one to be missed!
