The Plymouth Arms
Eating Out in Cardiff
The inn takes its name from Elizabeth Lewis, heiress of a major local landowner in the area, who married the Third Earl of Plymouth in the early 1700’s. The Plymouth Arms’ location provided easy access to Cardiff and was a popular stop off point for people travelling there in traditional handsom cabs. A country pub oozing rural charm and rustic character, our picturesque surroundings provide the perfect backdrop for savouring the hearty, seasonal pub-food on our menu, and the carefully nurtured cask ales and fine wines gracing our bar. Whether you are planning dinner with friends or Sunday lunch with family, book a table online and enjoy some quality time with those you love the most. Our lovely Grade II listed pub has great character. It’s almost on the doorstep of the National History Museum and St Fagans Castle which has a commanding position above the River Ely.
