Belfast

I first visited the great city of Belfast in 2001 and back then, everything would just shut down at 6pm on the dot and there would be a mass exodus out of the city to wherever people needed to get to, basically, all the shops and businesses would just close, but not anymore, how different it is today. Bars, clubs and pubs all stay open till the wee hours and the cities heart’s beating faster than it ever has before. Belfast has become a vibrant city of not only diverse culture, but a city that like New York, it never seems to sleep. There’s an eclectic range of restaurants, shops and of course tourist attractions, so no matter what you are looking for, it won’t be that hard to find it here in Belfast. Since my first visit all those years ago, I’ve been back dozens of times and given the chance, I’d seriously consider moving here, such is the magic of the place. I have selected only a few of the great attractions in this area and there is still far more to explore. But be warned, Belfast isn’t just a city that you can see in a weekend, you’ll need at least three or four days to see it all, given of course that you’ll have to at some point on your journey take a drive or a bus along the world famous causeway coastal route, which has been voted one of the best drives in the world. Then there is the food and accommodation aspect to the city and every single business that is endorsed within these pages have all had a visit for myself, so you can be safe in the knowledge that you’ll be visiting a quality establishment and one that cares about your custom.
