This stunning family estate is located on 45 acres of beautiful land. Nestled in Cheshire, in the stunning Delamere Countryside, it has been owned by the current family since 1987. The Rowlinson family have truly created a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Not only do you have some of the best views of the Utkinton Hills, the on-site woodland is extraordinary. With 14 acres of newly planted woodland, twelve acres of mature woodland and a six acre arboretum with uniquely rare tree species, you will feel like you are in a magical wonderland. The dining experience here is top. All dishes have been made with locally produced ingredients and they are delicious. Why not stay for a few days in a luxury self-catering apartment? It is perfect for a romantic getaway. Looking for somewhere to celebrate your special day? They have great spaces which you can hire out for any kind of celebration. Not only is this place a hidden gem, but it is an all-round fantastic place to spend a few days with your loved one. *
We had all but finished this Northwest England book, when I managed to uncover what has turned out to be one of Cheshire's biggest hidden gems. Although this estate has only been in the Rowlinson family since 1987, Abbeywood has been transformed by this family into a small paradise for walkers and green fingered folk alike. Whilst walking around the gardens and grounds of the estate, I felt as thought I could of been literally anywhere, but in reality this estate is situated in some of Cheshire's best rolling countryside. My travels take me to some amazing cafes and restaurants, and Abbeywood boasts an amazing garden cafe. It's easy to see that no expense has been spared to make sure that after your meander around these timeless gardens and vast estate, you can relax your weary feet with some amazing cakes, pastries and tasty coffee.
