Aston Pottery, Café & Gardens

Attractions

This place is always a lot of fun. Whether you have a free afternoon or morning, this is a great venue to spend some quality time. A Pottery, a Café and a Gift Shop is what you can expect when visiting. The Café serves tasty home made cakes and scones. You can also find a great range of snacks here too. This multi award location also boasts fabulous gardens. With a variety of plants, flowers and butterflies, walking through it can be a mesmerising experience. In the gift shop, there are so many interesting things. From jewellery to furnishings, books, luxury goods and hand-made pottery designed on site, there is something for everyone. The pottery tour is especially fantastic. With regular demonstrations and tours, you will learn so much. For some extra fun, you can even decorate your own pieces. *

Review

When you talk about great potteries, Stoke-on-Trent, Portmeirion & Belleek instantly spring too mind, you can be forgiven for thinking of those famous potteries first. But then there are the smaller potteries that are dotted around our fine land, potteries like Oxfordshire's Aston Pottery for instance. I had been recommended this pottery & visitor centre by another attraction, I have too say that their work really is quite remarkable. Tours and demonstrations at Aston Pottery are only bookable in advance, but nevertheless the experience is one that will stick in your memory for a long time. Another thing that has too be mentioned are the beautiful gardens at Aston, which were incidentally opened by David Cameron (Prime Minister) and an awful lot of time and investment has gone into these gardens and they are really quite beautiful. A massive Top 100 Attractions thumbs up for this attraction.
