This County Cork chapter would certainly not be complete without the inclusion of the Ballymaloe Cookery School. However, I didn't just chose Ballymaloe because of what goes on in the kitchen, quite the contrary, I also chose this attraction because of what happens outside the kitchen. It is no secret that Ballymaloe has to be one of Ireland's, if not the British Isles most famous cookery schools, but the icing on the cake, excuse the pun, are the beautiful walks and cycle tracks around it's surrounding woodlands and farm. It's heated swimming pool, tennis courts, not to mention the chance to collect eggs from the hen house or feed a pig or two in the piggery, are just some of Ballymaloe's greatest features, and they are all what goes to make this attraction not only one of Ireland's Top 100 Attractions, but Top 100 Hotel & Restaurant's also!
