Callendar Park
Review
For centuries there has been a house of some description on the site that the present Callendar House occupies. Dating back to the 14th century, this French-chateau styled stately home is set in the nationally-important historic designed landscape of Callendar Park which also contains a section of the Antonine Wall World Heritage Site. Once inside, you’ll find displays telling you about the history of the house, the Antonine Wall and the story of Falkirk. There’s also a busy Tearoom, and no visit would be complete without sampling a delicious home-made Afternoon Tea in the Drawing Room. The authentic Georgian Kitchen was featured in an episode of the popular TV series Outlander. When I visited back in the summer of 2019, it was packed with people enjoying their day and I’m sure you will too. I only wish I could have stayed for longer!

Located within the very heart of Falkirk, are the Carmel Apartments and I have to say, this accommodation was far better than I thought it was going to be.
