If riding on beacons does take your fancy, then we have a great selection of horse rides to suit all horse riding abilities. Our explorer ride leaves the farm and takes you onto the foothills of the Brecon beacons ideal for beginners who want to experience the magical feel of riding in the Brecon beacons. Or for the more experienced rider, the Welsh mountain pony trail will take you right into the heart of the beacons where we often come across herds of wild welsh mountain ponies. CANTREF offers a great family day out. It was Halloween at the time of my visit to Cantref, which was abrilliant time to visit, with all the staff decked in Halloween costume from the minute I walked through door, it was plain to see that the owners of the Cantref, pay extreme attention to detail and have spent a lot of time making sure that the visitor experience is at any time of the year 100% I was shown around the adventure farm by the owner and he has every right to be proud of what they have done there. With Europe's longest ‘Sledge Ride' to the very funny ‘Pig Racing' , you will never get bored. As if that wasn't enough, Cantref also has a very popular ‘Riding Centre' which offers trekking, mountain riding, riding lessons, and short riding courses available to. Cantref Adventure Farm & Riding Centre is definitely worth a visit but be prepared to spend all day there as there is so much to do site to satisfy all ages.
