Cheshire is famous for its pretty villages and picturesque pubs and with so many to chose from, I had a very hard task to chose a couple of Welsh Border hotels and restaurants for this North East Wales chapter of the Top 100 Attractions in Wales book. But when I came across the Cock O’Barton Hotel, the decision was easy, I just had to have this place in the book. Not only did I chose them for this accommodation section, but the restaurant section also and once you’ve visited, you’ll understand why. The rooms are of impeccable quality and every effort has gone into providing you with not only a first class stay, but one that is affordable to everyone. The team are super friendly here at the COB and I loved every minute of my visit here. Although I didn’t stay the night, I sure wish I had!

FOOD FOR THOUGHT
Having featured this hotel in the accommodation section for this chapter, I rate the food offering here that highly, I had to have them in this section also. But look, you don’t have to take my word for it, their reviews speak for themselves. So, no matter whether you’re just out for a night with your friends, family or partner, or celebrating a special occasion, the team here will make you feel welcome. You also don’t have to be staying here to eat here and I’ve been assured that with the menu changing constantly, every visit will be like the first time, I like that about a restaurant. Like the hotel, the pricing has been a very hard task for the management team and like everywhere, prices are going up, but the COB has tried its hardest to keep the prices affordable, but yet not at the cost of quality.
