Coney Beach Amusement Park is at the heart of Porthcawl and sits on Sandy Bay, which is one of seven bays at this historical South Wales seaside town. The Parks’ own beach is nearly a mile long and a magnet for surfers and bathers alike with lifeguards on duty during the summer months and with donkey rides, bouncy castles and trampolines ideal as a safe family destination. Alongside the Megablitz, one of the largest roller coasters in the area, are all the attractions you will ever want from a traditional seaside fair, with arcades, shooting gallery, side shows, dodgems, the Sizzler Twist and lots more thrill, family and children’s rides. As well as the fair there are cafes, restaurants, a bar and nearby function room which can be hired for private events. Entrance to the Park is FREE and opens throughout the summer season
Next year, 2020 will be a very big year for Coney Beach Pleasure Park as they will of reached their 100th birthday, which for this type of attraction, is very rare! There is nothing you can teach his family about running a fairground, as they have literally done it all, from entertaining American and British troops returning back from World War 1, to touring throughout the British Isles with their popular fairground rides. I think another thing worth mentioning is the spectacular Beach that is attached to this attraction and the parks owner Patrick Evans, is very passionate about ensuring its cleanliness, this is paramount to him. Along with making sure his visitors have a fantastic time, Patrick tells me there are now going to be a whole range of water sports available on the beach, making it a hive of activity. I really like Coney Beach, it was like being a kid again, visiting here and I know you’ll love it!
