Corner House Inn
Review
“We meet them at the door-way, on the stair, along the passages they come and go, impalpable impressions on the air, a sense of something moving to and fro.” H. W. Houses.
Tucked away within the expansive valley of Llynfi, the medieval village of Llangynwyd is home to The Corner House Inn; a unique, hidden jewel that’s overflowing with hospitality and history. Dating back to 1722, the building is directly linked to a romantic, ghostly story: of love unrequited by the poet of Cefn Ydfa; who is said to be still “about” the place! However, this fascinating Country Restaurant and Inn, presents all the feel-good-factors that are essential for a perfect meal, served within a relaxing, comfortable atmosphere. Featuring the finest locally sourced produce, you’ll feel completely at ease, as the lovely owners pride themselves on making their home: your home too, so much so that when you sit down at table for a meal, you're welcome to stay, and enjoy a long, leisurely evening. Service is very friendly and the cuisine is generously served, with all homemade dishes packed with flavour and fresh ingredients, and whatever the occasion, there’s a wide range of drinks available, making the perfect accompaniment to a delicious meal for two, or a get together with friends.
