Country Cooks is situated beside the A5 at Ty Nant, one of the main routes into Snowdonia and is family run with local staff.It has stunning views of the countryside, an outside seating area and a large car park. There is an easily accessed entry ramp and is 'Dog Friendly'.
The menu which is available all day ranges from simple snacks and homemade soup to breakfasts and grills. 'Salads and Things' are a speciality and served with a large variety of fruit and salad vegetables. The homemade Steak Kidney pie, Chicken pie ,Lasagne, Cottage Pie etc and the Local Beef and Welsh Black Beer are made in the traditional way using our local butchers produce.
A variety of pancakes are available all year as are a selection of homemade puddings from old school favourites Jam Roly Poly and Spotted Dick to fruit pies and others in between.
Birdwatchers can enjoy their meals whilst watching a large selection of birds enjoying theirs - Red Kites can usually be seen hovering above the hills behind.
There are many nice walks in the area and the nearby reservoirs of Brenig and the Alwen are popular with walkers fishermen and cyclists and this is an ideal place for meeting up with friends and car clubs, walking groups and cycling clubs or just to have a hot or cold drink on route whether you are on business or pleasure.

On the banks of the River Dee beneath the Berwyn Mountains Country Cooks Cafe makes a more than welcome stop along your journey. Spotlessly clean and welcoming, the atmosphere in this Café is relaxed and inviting, with a large car park, just off the A5, makes it extremely convenient too. Country Cooks is doggie friendly, has wheelchair access and high chairs for little diners, excellent value and with a stunning view, the decking area also makes a wonderful spot to enjoy a leisurely bite to eat, and with an extensive, delish menu, there’s plenty to choose from. Hot and tasty, all meals are freshly prepared and cooked to order and includes a marvellous Full Breakfast or how about Bacon and Pancake Maple Syrup? The pancakes are absolutely awesome and light and fluffy as clouds. The Lemon Sugar Pancake just melts in the mouth, piping hot and frothy cappuccinos as well as scrumptious meals such as; Lasagna, Steak and Kidney Pie Chips and Peas, Burger and Chips, there is also choices for Vegetarians and Vegans.
