Crofters Music Bar Bistro
Review
A visit to the Isle of Arran is an experience in itself, it has to be said, however, this experience is enhanced greatly, once you’ve paid a visit to one of its main, if not only traditional music venue. Crofters, which was previously known as ‘Fiddlers’ is the brainchild of the famous local musician and singer, ‘Dónal Boyle’ and even though Dónal is still very much part of the business, his daughter Ealána is the future driving force behind this fabulous music venue. I think it also has to be said that even though Crofters Music Bar is a music venue and showcases all of Arran’s musical talent, it’s still very much a place to get food and boy is their food good! On the day of my visit, I was fortunate enough to be able to taste their local dish ‘Cullen Skink’ a bowl of creamy potato, leek and smoked haddock and for anyone who’s a fan of the Irish Chowder, you’ll absolutely love this dish!
