For those of you who visit the nursery you will have the opportunity to stroll though our small woodland garden where you will see many of our shade loving introductions growing.

Many of the plants you will see are new - not seen in cultivation before. Do not worry if you do not recognise them as help is at hand. We have yet to meet anybody who can walk through the garden and recognise everything they see!

At any time of year you will find something of interest to tempt you. Most of the plants are labelled with good size labels so you will not have to get down on your hands and knees to read them.

From the woodland, you will make your way into our walled garden - here you will see more wonderful collections growing. On a recent visit Stephen Lacey described his walk as “squeezing and ducking through foliage as lush as a wooded Asian valley -

palm-like Schefflera and Daphniphyllum, huge-leafed Tetrapanax, all wonderful stuff.”

Wales as a whole, let alone North Wales has a huge number of gardens, some big, some small, but the majority of them have absolutely huge personalities. Crug Farm Gardens & Plant Centre is not only widely known all over Wales, they are also well known all over the British Isles, not just for their award winning plants and gardens, but because the owners of Crug, Sue & Bleddyn Wynn Jones have such a huge knowledge of the plant and seed world, and upon further investigation, they are highly respected by all those in the know. I have passed Crug probably a hundred times and always thought it was just a simple garden centre, which North Wales has many, however Crug Farm & Plant centre is far from just a simple garden centre! A visit here offers all those who dare a chance to go on their own expedition.
