Doddington Hall & Gardens
Review
Doddington Hall, under the stewardship of Claire and James Birch since 2006, stands out as a premier destination among my British Isles & Ireland's historic houses collection. The Birches' true dedication to enhancing the visitor experience is evident in every facet of this majestic estate. The Elizabethan Hall itself, rich in history, is complemented by stunning gardens and a rewilding project that offer a serene escape. Visitors can indulge in a variety of experiences, from exploring the well-curated farm shop to the very popular Giant Bike Shop, and the diverse offerings in their country clothing store. The Hall really comes to life during Christmas, with festivities that add a magical touch to the already enchanting ambiance. The commitment to maintaining the estate's historical integrity while offering contemporary attractions makes Doddington Hall a unique and unforgettable destination, truly deserving its place in this Top 100 Historic Houses & Gardens book.
