Fox & Hounds
Review
Having visited so many pubs throughout Wales, the ones that we actually do end up endorsing in my books are all of a very high standard and one such place is here at the Fox & Hounds in Llancarfan. So good is this country inn, that I have also endorsed it within my Food for Thought section for glamorgan's heritage coast and being family run, they understand just exactly what you may be looking for when choosing somewhere to spend the night. Feather and down duvets, along with super comfy pillows just come as standard here and no expense has been spared when furnishing the rooms. I think the Fox and hounds is a perfect base for those exploring the Vale of Glamorgan and surrounding areas and in fact Cardiff itself is only a 30 minute trip, along with being able to reach Cardiff Airport in just under 10 minutes.
FOOD FOR THOUGHT
The team here at the Fox & Hounds take their food offering very seriously and having met the team, I’m very confident that you're in very safe hands. The pub itself isn’t available on Mondays and Tuesdays for food, however, these things sometimes change and so it’s always best to check their website for the opening times anyway. Being a country pub, it’s also always best to book a table ahead and this is also something you can do directly on their website. As the Fox & Hounds is open all year round, the chefs are renowned here for offering different menus and specials, all of which are seasonal and offer the very best of seasonal produce. I think it is also worth mentioning the fact that this pub has some lovely rooms, they are that nice, I’ve also endorsed them in the sleep tight section of this chapter also.
