Galeri has established itself as a centre that attracts customers from all over North Wales to experience and participate in a range of artistic events. The innovative blend of theatre, performance studios, Art Space, creative and artistic workspaces and bar and Café area ensures that the building is full of life all day long.

This "house of art by the sea" (Gillian Clarke) is a natural hub for the arts and creative industries in North West Wales, and its pupose is to:

promote artistic events in the area, and not only within the building;
promote creativity;
develop skills and confidence in the local community;
present a programme of events that is accessible;

Galeri is a centre where artistic and creative activity, community work and artistic installations continually reinforce each other through a variety of different art-forms. The programme of events is a combination of professional and amateur companies, local and international artists, education and skill development, community involvement and participation and also programming for the whole community - the community are part of our DNA as a company.

As a centre, we also offer benefits to local companies and the public sector in the form of meeting and conferencing facilities. Over 15,000 delegates use Galeri for this purpose annually for meetings, interviews, conferences, training days and presentations.

Review

The building of this state of the art theatre and conference centre couldn't have come at a better time. Caernarfon itself has always been famous for its castle and if you were to ask anyone else that would be it. The company (Galeri Caernarfon Cyf) that owns the centre have been responsible in my opinion for giving Caernarfon a lease of new life, and a visit to this theatre only goes to strengthen that.
