Glamis Castle
Review
Once upon a time, this Kingdom was the magical birthplace of HM Queen Elizabeth, and also the inspiration of Shakespeare’s Macbeth. Now home to the Earls of Strathmore and Kinghorne, explore this gem of Scottish Heritage. The interiors are spectacular and the gardens compliment the grandeur beautifully. The Walled Garden has a spectacular grass maze, and it is where the delicious fruits and vegetables are grown. The Italian Garden is impeccably designed with beautiful symmetries throughout. And for a little added fun, the Nature trail and Macbeth trail are fascinating. You can book yourself a luxury stay in the Glamis House. Sleeping up to 12 guests, it has impeccable facilities and very comfortable bedrooms. Open daily from 11am, the castle kitchen serves some delicious refreshments and snacks, and if you want to bring a souvenir back home, the Pavillion shop is full of gift ideas.
