High Peak Bookstore & Cafe
High Peak Bookstore and Café opened in 2000, as ‘Bookstore Brierlow Bar’ on the site of the former Bagshaw’s garage on Ashbourne Road, just outside of Buxton. High Peak Bookstore Café is a great place to relax. We serve local freshly-ground coffee and an excellent range of loose leaf teas, as well as breakfast items, lunches, light bites, cakes and snacks. Serving paninis, jacket potatoes, sandwiches, soups, Homity pie and salad, the emphasis here is very much on ‘home-made’, including our own pesto, dressings, and soups. As well as hot drinks we sell refreshing soft drinks, with a twist on the traditional, such as old-fashioned cola, lemonade, retro milkshakes and juice. The coffee shop closes half an hour before the bookstore.
