Hobbit Hill

Enjoy a luxury glamping experience in the heart of the Ribble Valley near Clitheroe. Set amidst the outstanding natural beauty of the famous Tolkien Trail – take time out in our comfortable cosy Hobbit Cabins. Enjoy cycling, walking, exploring or simply relax, sit round your fire pit, read a book and take in the superb views! Bring your friends and family! The Hobbit Hill cabins can accommodate 16 people altogether – great for family get togethers and group bookings. The wooden cabins are built to a high specification, creating five luxurious, warm and cosy cabins. Three of the cabins have two bunk beds, sleeping four people. Two further cabins are luxurious retreats for two. The Shooting Lodge nestles in its own landscaped gardens and parking area, below the glamping cabins, with fabulous wide open views across the Ribble Valley. The beautifully designed lodge has a fully fitted kitchen, breakfast bar, lounge, dining area and bathroom, with a double bedroom on the first floor. Sleeping 2 guests in the double bedroom upstairs, but ample room downstairs provides the option for a further 2 guests on occasional beds (supplied) if required. The Lodge is available for holidays and short breaks and can be included in your Wedding Package as a perfect wedding cottage or breakout area for your guests.

Author's Review

We don't normally give accommodation providers a full attraction page as a rule, but Hobbit Hill isn’t a normal accommodation provider. The sites owner John Wilkinson has created something very special here, against the wonderful backdrop of somewhere even more special, for it is here in the Ribble Valley, with its glistening river ribble and Pendle Hill in the background, that gave inspiration to Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings and Hobbit stories and when you stand outside your little Glamping cabin and look across the vista, you can imagine just exactly what it was that inspired Tolkien all those years ago. The accommodation is of the highest quality and with great facilities you won’t want for anything and they even have a shooting lodge to boot. So why not pack your bags, download a copy of the Tolkien trail and book yourself into Hobbit Hill, I cannot recommend it enough!
