Jeake’s House
Review
This stylish B&B, infused with rich historical charm, is an absolute treat to the soul. Formerly a wool store and field hospital during the Napoleonic wars, it has now become a unique getaway and a number 1 choice for couples. Traditional in many ways but with all the modern comforts anyone could wish for, Jenny and Richard are friendly hosts which welcome dogs and humans alike, treating everyone like family. Spotlessly clean and very characterful, the interior definitely has the wow factor. Imagine yourself strolling through the hotel, sitting at the piano while absorbing the peaceful surroundings or sipping on your favourite cocktail in the gorgeous atmosphere of the bar. Breakfast is equally outstanding. You can even choose to eat a Victorian speciality such as ‘devilled kidneys’ if you fancy trying out something unusual for your first meal of the day. Jeake’s house is fascinating in all aspects.
