Kysty
Kysty is a daytime eatery, newly opened in Ambleside, Cumbria. Headed up by chef Ryan Blackburn
of the Old Stamp House Restaurant in Ambleside.Kysty is a relaxed, dining venue for those who love good food and coffee. Big on Cumbrian provenance, flavour and ethical sourcing. Kysty itself is Cumbrian dialect meaning ‘discerning about one’s food’ or just plain fussy!
Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free dining options always available. Please ask our lovely staff if you are unsure.
No reservations required.
All our food is available to eat in or take away. We utilise 100% compostable or biodegradable take-away packaging and minimise single use plastics andunnecessary waste.
Brew -
We are really pleased to be serving coffee from Red Bank Coffee Roasters of Coniston. A local company with a real passion for producing crazy good coffee, and for sourcing their beans ethically and minimising wastage.
We serve a small selection of teas from Brew Tea Co, who are serious about producing awesome tea and about doing business honestly. They’re a certified B Corp and their bags are 100% biodegradable (though it will be all about the loose leaf experience for our eat-in customers!).
Our milk is sourced from Stephenson's Dairy of Morecambe who are proud to guarantee the free range provenance of all their milk and dairy products. Cows are grazed outside for at least half the year, and farmer's are paid a fair price for their produce.
Bait -
Head Chef, Andrew serve's hot food 9:30am - 4pm with a brunch and lunch menu to tantalise most taste buds! Salad, quiche and sandwiches available until 5pm (or until they sell out!) Healthy, freshly made and locally sourced food to eat-in or take-away. We also have a menu for Kysty Kids.
We source salad and veggies from Growing Well; a mental health charity and organic farm based on the outskirts of Kendal.
Our meat and fish is locally sourced from Yew Tree Farm in Coniston, Cartmel Valley Game Supplies or our local Ambleside-based Garside's Butchers.
Bread comes from Lovingly Artisan of Kendal.
