Lancaster Brewery has four popular beers that form our core range - Lancaster Blonde, Amber, Red and Black and we also produce monthly specials and seasonal beers from our purpose built brewery located on the outskirts of Lancaster. Our beer is available far and wide, in cask and in bottles in great pubs across the UK and as far afield as Latvia and China. Stockists also include supermarkets and off licenses regionally and nationally. We do brewing properly. No fuss, no shortcuts, just proper old fashioned brewing using Freshly milled malt (milled on site the same day that we brew), whole-leaf hops and live yeast that, combined with our expertise, produces some of the best beer in the country. Gain an insight into the day-to-day inner workings of the Brewery during our relaxed and informal tours. Covering all the necessities of the brewing process beginning with the malt silo right through the underback and copper to the racking machine and cold store. Asking as many questions as you please is actively encouraged and we hope you leave having learned something new.

Review

Lancaster Brewery is a Lancashire success story of all success stories. This award winning beer company now offer tours around their Lancaster Brewery site and their tour is not only informative, but their light hearted approach to their tour really does add to its charm. With so many different tours on offer, from its usual 45 minute brewery tour to its be a brewer for a day tour, you won’t be disappointed as it’s worth every penny. The brewery also have a pub locally based in Lancaster called the Sun Hotel and Bar, so it’s possible to also get a package which adds a nights stay with dinner to the deal, not many breweries can boast about that. All in all, taking a tour around their award winning brewery in Lancaster is a must on any grand tour of Lancashire, but be warned, you might not want to leave!
