‘Maginn’s of Castlewellan’ is a highly popular hub of activity, which offers something for everyone and every age. Situated in the heart of Castlewellan in County Down, this fab family run bar, has been owned by the Maginn family since 1919, and is now run by the third generation. Whether you fancy having a get-together with friends, an intimate meal for two, or hitting the dance floor and dancing the night away; the atmosphere is alive and kicking with a lovely friendly vibe throughout. Following an extensive rebuilding and refurbishing operation, the interior is now outstandingly inviting and spacious: with lush, opulent furnishings and a highly original stained-glass ceiling, stunning wooden staircases and carvings. With new bars on different levels, and function room; Maginns has a long and trusted reputation of providing excellent quality, locally sourced food, always seasonal and delicious.
