Matlock Farm Park

Attractions

Here at Matlock Farm Park, we are open all year round and hope to give you a wonderful visit in the fresh air and tranquillity of the countryside. There is plenty to do for both adults and children, with lots of animals to see and feed, as well as smaller cuddly animals to pet in our barn. Short pony rides are offered on weekends, as well as weekdays during school holidays. We have a variety of play equipment, including the UKs largest bouncy pillow, go-carts, a lovely café, indoor play barn and a shop to browse. We also have a riding school and trekking centre, offering riding to all abilities. The rabbits, guinea pigs and chicks and are always a favourite with the children, as is the opportunity to feed the young lambs. The park has a wide selection of animals to see including llamas, goats, peacocks and fallow deer to name but a few. Special events are on throughout the year which are regularly updated on our website and social media pages. We also cater for schools and groups, as well as hosting great birthday parties too. We hope to see you soon!

Review

There are not many farm parks around the British Isles that are open all year and this is a huge plus with Matlock Farm Park. Secondly and of course more important, this farm has got bags of personality, from the staff that work here, to the animals themselves. Speaking of the animals, there are lots of furry friends that can be petted and handled here and there are staff on hand to help you do this. All of the animals featured at Matlock Farm Park are in great shape and clearly well looked after, it’s totally apparent to me that they are all very much loved and just simply put, part of the family here! The entrance fee isn’t too extortionate and I think the visit here is great value for money. Finally and I really think worth mentioning, is that they also have ‘Horse Riding’ on offer here and their trekking centre is open just as much as the farm park and the scenery is well worth a trek around.
