The National Showcaves Centre for Wales here at Dan-yr-Ogof is truly one of the most impressive set of caves that I have visited so far on my travels. When I wrote my Top 100 Attractions in Wales book for the first time in 2011, I had visited the Showcaves and remember being that impressed, although my last book was full at that point, I knew even back then that I had missed out one of Wales biggest attractions. Now I have been lucky enough to visit the whole of Wales for a second time, I knew for a fact that I had to feature Dan-yr-Ogof this time round. I have so many different things that I could share with you about this attraction, but one that really stands out is their state-of-the-art app which is available through the 'Apple' App Store. This app brings dinosaurs such as the famous Raptors to life by pointing your iPhone at one of the huge display boards that are dotted around the attraction, I have never seen this done in any of the hundreds of attractions I have been to in the British Isles.
