We are situated in the heart of the countryside, providing a convenient base from which to explore all of the beautiful county of Pembrokeshire.
The 19th century, Visit Wales 3-star stone cottages at Newhouse Farm are all individually styled to reflect their unique characters and offer a rural hideaway in a peaceful setting, our aim is to provide a comfortable home from home, perfect to return to after a long enjoyable day.
There are wonderful beaches and coves within easy reach for surfing, swimming or just beachcombing, castles and museums dripping with history and bracing walks for the more energetic. You can go diving or coasteering....take a boat trip to animal watch or stroll around the beautiful countryside and lanes.
The Coach House
This beautifully converted stone building, The Coach House, has been authentically restored by local craftsmen.The accommodation of this 19th-Century cottage is comfortable and cosy, the sitting room is furnished with sofa and chairs, TV with freeview, DVD player, CD/radio and side tables and lamps. It is centrally heated, but also has a log-burning stove for those cooler evenings, or just for the delight of having a wood fire. The separate kitchen has a table and chairs, a traditional Belfast sink, an electric oven and hob, fridge with freezer box and microwave oven. We also supply all the necessary crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils for your convenience along with kettle, toaster and cafetiere.There are two double bedrooms, with hanging and storage space. The larger bedroom, which is also heated by the log-burner's stove pipe, has a king size bed and the smaller bedroom has 2 full size single beds.There is a centrally heated shower room with a WC and wash hand basin downstairs and a WC and wash hand basin upstairs.Garden furniture is provided for your own patio with wild Fuschias, Rosemary and Honeysuckle to the side of the cottage with a view of the sun setting on Great Treffgarne Mountain through a screen of mature Sycamores and Beech trees.The cottage is ideal for two adults and two older children.
The Duck House
The Duck House has been carefully converted by local craftsmen into a cosy cottage with all the home comforts you need for a relaxing holiday, it also has a stunning south facing view across the valley from the sitting room window and is conveniently on one level.The comfortably furnished sitting room has two sofas and a chair, side tables with lamps, TV with freeview, DVD, cd/radio and the dining area has a table and chairs for family meals. There is also a wood burning stove. The kitchen is separate from the sitting room and fully fitted with an electric hob, built in oven, fridge with freezer box and microwave oven. We also supply a toaster, kettle, cafetiere and all the necessary crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils for your convenience. The large tiled bathroom has a full sized bath with overhead shower, WC and hand basin and is also centrally heated. The two double bedrooms are centrally heated and comfortably furnished with a double bed and wardrobe in the main bedroom and 2 small single beds and wardrobe in the second. The sofa bed in the sitting room enables the cottage to sleep six people, making it ideal for a larger family. (please note the sofa bed is a small double)
A bistro table and chairs are provided for your own patio bordered by a trellis of Fuchsia, Clematis and Rosemary, perfect for relaxing with your favourite tipple whilst enjoying the stunning sunsets across the field, a perfect chill out space while the children play safely in full view.
The cottage is ideal for a larger family.
The Old Stable
Our lovingly restored 19th-Century hideaway, The Old Stable, is ideal for a couple. It is self contained and full of charm and the original oak A-frame beams date from around 200 years ago. The sitting area is comfortably furnished with armchairs, coffee table and lamps, TV with freeview, DVD and a cd/radio. It is centrally heated, but also has a cosy log-burning stove for those cooler evenings, or even just for the delight of lighting a real fire. The dining area has a table and chairs and there is a new modern kitchen with electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge with freezer box. We also supply all the necessary crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils for your convenience along with a kettle, toaster and cafetiere.There is a double bed at ground floor level, with hanging and storage space and a downstairs shower room with a WC and wash hand basin. A bistro table and chairs is provided for the patio surrounded by plants where you can sit and watch the stunning sunsets with a glass of wine maybe.
The cottage is suitable for a couple.
