Housed in a refurbished Church and winner of the Irish Tourism Industry Award for Dublin’s Best Visitor Experience 2019, Pearse Lyons Distillery, offers visitors a unique blend of Irish history, culture and whiskey in a working distillery.Located in Dublin’s historic Liberties; the former Church of St James’, now distillery, has a colourful history dating back to the 12 Century. On tour of the distillery and surrounding graveyard, guests are introduced to the compelling characters from Dublin’s famous distilling and brewing district. Discover how Pearse Lyons Distillery distils their unique small batch Irish whiskeys and celebrates the Irish tradition of storytelling on each guided tour. Guests can choose from a wide range of tour and tasting experiences, to food pairing and blending experiences with our distillery team.

Ha’penny Gin School @ Pearse Lyons Distillery

Ha’penny Gin School at Pearse Lyons Distillery is Dublin’s ultimate Gin Experience. The gin school is housed in newly restored early 20 Century townhouses in the heart of Dublin’s historic Liberties on the grounds of the unique distillery. Bearing the name of the iconic Ha’penny Bridge, Ha’penny Gin School brings people together to create their own unique gin. During this two-hour gin experience, guests will don their aprons before entering the gin school where they are surrounded by scores of botanicals. Our in-house experts will guide guests through the history of gin. They will also enjoy a sensory experience, while choosing their botanicals before putting their miniature copper pot-still to work.

While the mini pot stills are bubbling away, local seasonal bites will be served and paired with our signature Ha’penny Gin and Tonic. Guests bottle and seal their 70cl bottle before adding a personalised label ready to take home.
