Pontcysyllte Chapel Tearoom
Review
“The traffic goes by, and the river goes by, and quick shadows of clouds, too, and the chapel settles a little deeper into the grass.” R. S. Thomas.
The Bryn Seion Chapel is a grade II listed building, which has been sensitively restored and refurbished into the delicious red brick, and terra-cotta coloured; Pontcysyllte Chapel Tearoom. Serving a sublime blend of delectable food and drinks, with exquisite vintage china: amongst a bright and rejuvenated chapel; there’s an extremely friendly team who create a happy, welcoming environment for all. Situated at the northern end of the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, in the small village of Trevor, Llangollen - all ingredients used are locally sourced and freshly prepared, ensuring guests receive superb quality food, and a plentiful selection of dishes to choose from. Relax and enjoy the decadent underfloor heating, powder rooms, WiFi and on-site parking, and scrumptious freshly brewed coffee and billowy afternoon teas, piled high with creamy creations and divine desserts. Thursday is quiz night, which includes lots of laughs and giggles, and this bright and beautiful chapel, also makes a great venue for baby showers, birthdays and weddings.
