Rowallan House
Rowallan Guest House, was built in 1880 as a Gentleman’s Residence. It originally included stables, a tennis court and an orchard but know it just sits in pretty secluded gardens with plenty of on site parking.
Previously a boutique hotel Rowallan Guest House now offers friendly, intimate, bed and breakfast accommodation in Newton Stewart for holiday or longer stay visitors. All rooms are en-suite and are a mix of full bathrooms with shower over bath or walk in showers. We are in the process of renovating and up grading all the bedrooms.
Retaining many of its original features including beautiful ornate moulded ceilings, original shutters and open fires which make for a cosy winter stay. Rowallan Guest House provides comfortable well equipped, first floor accommodation, with lovely views to enhance your stay.
Situated in a half an acre of lovely mature garden, Rowallan Guest House provides a residents lounge with bar, open fire and comfy sofa’s to relax after a hard days exploring the delights of Galloway. There is an elegant, bright and spacious dining room where you will be served a hearty breakfast or, if you choose to dine with us, a delicious evening meal. And for after dinner there is a snooker room which helps creates the perfect peaceful atmosphere for your holiday enjoyment.
All guest bedrooms are en suite, centrally heated (when applicable) and equipped with hospitality trays, hair dryers and a flat screen colour television.
A trouser press and ironing facilities are also available on request.
All our bedrooms are on the first floor and are equipped and decorated with the comfort of our B & B visitors in mind.
