Shibden Hall
Review
Also known as the Valley of the Sheep, this 15th Century Manor House definitely has the Wow factor. Once upon a time the home of Anne Lister, aka gentleman Jack, dates back to the 1400’s, and was built by William Otes, a wealthy cloth merchant. Becoming a museum in 1933, the extraordinary property can now be appreciated by the world. While learning about the people who lived and worked here, immerse yourself in the elegance of the place. Truly mesmerising, the property welcomes you into a warm and friendly atmosphere. The historical grounds which surround the property are dreamy. With cascades, tunnels, a boating lake, and a delightful fruit garden, it all feels so magical. You can even enjoy a memorable ride on the delightful miniature railway. A destination full of surprises, it also has great entertainment all-year round.Exhibitions, workshops, concerts, they seem to have it all!
