Solva Woollen Mill
Review
“…never had a day stood still, for years and years I’ve had music in my ears, from the rhythm of the old wool mill.” A. G. Brydon.
Set against the unique rhythm of the old weaving looms; Solva Woollen Mill presents visitors with a colourful sneak-peek into the wonderful world of Welsh Weaving. The oldest working woollen mill in Pembrokeshire, Solva is now the only mill in Wales specialising in flat woven floor rugs and runners. The family-run business uses the skills of a time gone by, in order to produce these eclectic, beautiful works of art. Situated in the village of Middle Mill in the magnificent County of Pembrokeshire, there’s a happy ambiance throughout the mill which has sat upon the banks of the Solfach for over a century. Using 100% British Wool, you can observe the fascinating process that goes into producing these high quality woven rugs and runners. So having spent time in Solva Woollen Mill, have a potter around the shop followed by a visit to the tea house.
