Spaceport is a £10m attraction that covers the subject of space ad space travel. You will be taken on an incredible journey through space in our six themed galleries, all of which feature a large variety of interactive, hands-on exhibits and audio visual experiences. Our space simulator is a treat for everyone, whether you are 8 years old or simply young at heart!

Spaceport has a themed first floor which changes every year. Recently it has included the Wallace and Gromit in space exhibition that included sets from the film ‘A Grand Day Out', Wallace's Shopper 13 interactive game and the chance to invent the next zero gravity gadget!

Review

Unfortunately when I went to school, the closest we got to space, was a visit to Jodrell Bank in Cheshire. As great as Jodrell Bank is, I'm sure you'll agree that whilst standing in Cheshire, your no more nearer to space, than where you're sat reading this now. But at Spaceport, from the moment you enter, they successfully make you believe you're travelling up to space and about to board the international space station. Once aboard the space station, there are plenty of space related things to both fascinate and educate not only children but adults also. I learnt so much during my visit, and complete with its planetarium cinema and space simulator, all goes to make this a brilliant insight into the universe that we are all part of.
