We have a total of 24 cozy camping pods, all the same in size. Each comes with 2 good quality single beds and mattresses for a comfortable night’s sleep. The beds can be pushed together to make a double, or if they’re placed in an L shape, you can even fit a double airbed in.
Pods sleep 2 adults (max) and up to two children (or three small children if they can fit on a double airbed – this is a squeeze). You just need to bring your own bedding and additional airbeds/roll mats if bringing your children.
We also have Pod 1 which is heated and comes with a wood-fired hot tub. It overlooks the Lake and has a wooden decking featuring the Hot Tub – and reserved Parking:
Our Wood Fired Hot Tubs are designed for 2 people maximum. Rates include; 2 bags of wood and kindling for the tub. Typically enough – extra wood is available to purchase. Available to use from your check-in time to 10.30 pm. Tubs take up to 2 Hours to get to Temperature. Minimum age 14 years. Under 18’s must be accompanied by an adult. Wood Fired Tubs don’t have electricity connected – so no bubbles/jets. Just relaxation and fantastic lakeside views.
All 24 Pods are insulated to keep to a nice temperature, but if you do feel the chill we have hot water bottles available for £3.50 (to keep).
A number of Pods (currently 11) are now heated with a radiator. If available the option for ‘Heated Pod’ will show.
During the cooler months, we recommend you bring warm bedding or extra layers.
Our Pods don’t have electricity connected so it’s an authentic camping experience – but if you do need to charge phones or plug in your hairdryer, there is plenty of power available in the nearby Lakeside Lodge. Or you can hire a battery pack on site for £5 if you’d rather charge your device in your Pod.
Pods each come with a firepit. Wood can be purchased on-site.
Disposable BBQs are available to purchase on-site. There are bricks available to put them on.
Bookings also include 24hr access to the beautiful Lakeside Lodge which has a kitchen including a kettle, microwave, toaster, fridge/freezers, three wet rooms with toilets/ 24hr hot showers, and a large common room with tables & chairs and vending machines.

With being only a stones throw away from Blackpool, Stanley Villa Fishing and Camping Site really is one of those hidden gems we had to slip into this book without a doubt. I was very impressed with how hard the owner of this site has worked to put this place together, along with the fishing lake, there are the well built pods that you can stay in, which I have to say are a refreshing change to your usual Blackpool B&B. There is also a state of the art log cabin which has vending machines and shower facilities etc and I have to say as camping sites go, I haven’t yet seen one with such good facilities. All in all, whether your a family, couple or just someone looking for somewhere clean, high quality and somewhere just a bit different, I couldn’t recommend Stanley Villa Farm Fishing and Camping enough.
