Standing majestically in the centre of Scarborough, the once Odeon Cinema has been sympathetically restored into one of the area’s leading theatres. The theatre has two spaces with different capacities from which to showcase the very best of theatre, dance, music and comedy. The vision for the theatre encompasses so much more than just production and ticket sales, though. It has a strong ethos of community outreach (classes for all ages and abilities) and several programs in which one can be involved to drive both these programs and the maintenance of this stunning Art Deco Grade ll listed building. The shows to be enjoyed here are carefully selected and suitably diverse, so that the broadest spectrum of life can be celebrated through various media. It is worth knowing that the theatre spaces are available to rent for conferences, workshops and school plays, and one can also become a member of the theatre circle via their website. A special place to share memorable moments and escape into every realm of possibility.
