Equally near is Hungerford, your centre for countryside outfitters, the departure point for narrow boat excursions along the Kennet and Avon Canal or unearth that elusive treasure in one of the many antique shops.

It takes only 20 minutes to reach Newbury or Swindon for larger commercial retail outlets, and yet you can be in London's West End in just over the hour

Newly refurbished and remodeled, The Bell at Ramsbury excels in offering an exquisite Modern British fine-dining experience in The Restaurant, lead by Head Chef Duncan Jones who comes to us from Marco Pierre White's, The Yew Tree. The nine luxuriously adorned en-suite double bedrooms are all affectionately known by their game bird or freshwater fish names - the complete sanctuary for that overnight stay. The decoration is sensitive to its origins in its retention of all original features, and yet delivers a calming contemporary finish in soft furnishings, accessories and pampering touches. All the while, The Bell retains its approachable and friendly link as the heart of the village community through it's Bar and continental cafe, Cafe Bella.

Each of our nine guest rooms has it's own distinct character and are named after a different game bird or fish as a nod to our lovely rural surroundings. Each room offer their own distinct charm, providing affordable luxury at its best.

Whether twin, double or superking sized beds, our spacious bedrooms are furnished in soothing tones, and adorned with plush cushions and soft linens. Home from home, with that extra hint of luxury, we have incorporated extra pampering touches such as Hypnos mattresses, robes and slippers for use during your stay, together with heated floors and toiletries by The White Company in our beautiful en suite facilities.

Help yourself to tea and coffee making facilities in your room, or to a drink from the honesty bar, which is available in the main pub rooms. There is also a flat-screen TV and Wi-Fi for your enjoyment.
