Review

Having just recently been taken over by husband and wife team, Paul & Lyndy, the Braeval Hotel is situated right next to the promenade and couldn’t be better placed really. The rooms themselves, are going through somewhat of a refurb and even though the rooms are lovely, the owners are not shy on spending a lot of money on the refurbishment, to make them even better, which is really nice and refreshing to see. There are a lot of white sandy beaches locally and the area is famed for them, so yet another reason to choose the Braeval Hotel as a perfect base. I found the hotel’s prices to be reasonable considering how popular the area is and with a hearty Scottish breakfast the following morning, you’ll be set up for the day. Paul and Lyndy really care about making your stay a comfortable one, so what are you waiting for?

The Bandstand Restaurant

Having featured the Braeval Hotel in the accommodation section of this chapter, you can definitely be guaranteed that the meal you’ll have here at their Bandstand Restaurant will be a good one, I’ll almost put money on it. The same ethos goes on the food, as well as the bedrooms and your visitor experience, set against value for money wins the day and the team in the kitchen really do care about every meal they send out. Along with this popular restaurant is an award winning bar and along with it’s friendly team of staff, it is most definitely worth a mention. Using fresh provenance where possible and all cooked from scratch, your meal will come well presented and tasty at that! The bandstand has a great reputation for its food and the owners Paul & Lyndy are trying their hardest to exceed expectations, rather than live up to them.
