The British Bird of Prey Centre is a specialist collection of British raptors, focussing on the welfare and conservation of our native species of birds of prey. We are based in The National Botanic Garden of Wales, so you can visit us during you day in the gardens. Our aim is to give everyone the opportunity to interact with, and learn about, the birds of prey that can be found here in the UK and in doing so inspire communities to ensure their longevity. The British Bird of Prey Centre, formerly known as Pembrokeshire Falconry was a very rare addition to our book, now, it’s one of Carmarthenshire’s biggest attractions! They used to be all over Pembrokeshire with their birds, now Alex and Emma Hill, like Noah, have created something far greater and have literally devoted both of their lives to this centre and after meeting them both again myself and finding out more about this new venture, they actually reminded me why it was that I started to write these books. Both Emma and her falconer husband Alex, not only know an huge amount about every bird that is within their care, they absolutely love every single one of these birds as if they were a child of theirs. Their passion and dedication is so clear to see and was a deciding factor in me actually choosing them as one of my Top 100 Attractions in Wales.
