Located in the heart of Lancashire, Leyland is the spiritual home of commercial vehicle manufacture. The Museum tells this story, and how these vehicles are used. Over 60 magnificent vehicles from the 1890s up to the 21st century are displayed.Come and stand next to the mighty Scammell 100 Tonner, sit in the cab of a modern artic truck and an open top fire engine, take a view from inside the Popemobile. It is not just about the vehicles, marvel at the photographic collection of the past century and watch archive films from a bygone age.If all this is not enough, talk to the interesting characters that have spent all their working lives building and operating these magnificent machines. “This is real living history”. Finish your visit with a drink in our café and look for interesting souvenirs in our shop. This is a place with personality.

This museum couldn't be more aptly located than here in Leyland. The locality of the museum just adds to the experience that awaits you. I believe strongly that in a hundred years time, we may not be using vehicles to commute to work, or on a day to day basis, but we will always be using them for pleasure purposes. We will also never lose the desire to visit attractions like the British Commercial Vehicle Museum. Being one of the leading vehicle museums in the UK, the BCVM has everything from Buses to Lorry's, Fire Engines, even an original Pope Mobile is on show here, making this attraction not just one that will be enjoyed by men but females also. At every turn there was something that would catch my eye, and on many occasions I felt myself repeating the word Wow! I loved every minute here and so will you!
