The Cornish Seal Sanctuary
Make some new friends today at Cornwall’s only Seal Sanctuary and rescue centre. Come and hear about dramatic rescues and meet the seal and sea lion characters whose individual stories are brought to life during your visit. Relax at our Café or simply enjoy the beautiful view of the Helford River and wander along our picturesque woodland walk. Children will love the pirate play area, quiz trail and special events all year round. Don’t forget to say ‘hello’ to our other friends the penguins, otters, sheep, goats and horses! The Cornish Seal Sanctuary is open 7 days a week (except Christmas Day) Monday - Sunday: 10:00 - 4pm (Last admissions 3:00pm)
Review
Before arriving at the Seal Sanctuary earlier on this year, I wasn't quite sure what to expect, I had done a huge amount of research on the site and all the great work they have done, but this attraction is so unique, until you get here, it's quite hard to gauge the enormity of the work they do. I couldn't get over just how professional the team are here and no matter what questions you throw at them, they will do their best to answer them and go that extra mile to help you understand the importance of the mammoth tasks they undertake on a daily basis. From new born Seal pups, to some majestic old timers, you get to experience first hand what life as a Seal is like and the dangers they face from not only human kind, but Mother Nature also. In my opinion, no trip to Cornwall is complete without a visit to the Cornish Seal Sanctuary!
