When you think of Gretna Green, you can be forgiven for thinking weddings, marriage and eloping and whereby all of those are correct, Gretna Green has a darker more over shadowed past and that is the Second World War effort. That’s right, here at the Devil's Bridge Museum, they have a huge story to tell, of their link to the munitions factory here, which at that time, had hundreds of people working here at any one time and this and many other stories are all on hand here to peruse over within this fantastic and concise little museum. I found the staff to be really friendly, the entrance fee to be very reasonable and so, I’m sure you’ll have a fantastic time here. We judge our attractions on visitor experience and value for money and here the Devils Porridge museum, this award winning attraction, they’ve got bags of both.
