The Dragons Back
The Dragons Back Pub and Bunkhouse, is the highest pub in the Brecon Beacons National Park, a Country Inn with plenty of accommodation, b&b rooms, bunkhouses, Shepherds hut, Tardis and a campsite.
Located in a glorious valley, over 1000ft above sea level in The Black Mountains – part of The Brecon Beacons National Park.
We cater for all customers, particularly large groups e.g. Stag/hen/bikers & corporate/military team building – due to the size and nature of our accommodation, bunkhouse, b&b and Shepherds hut & Tardis we can sleep up to 42 people indoors, we also have a small camp site, for tents only. All our accommodation is available at very reasonable prices.
We are ideally situated for the local towns of Brecon, Hay on Wye & Crickhowell.
A whole host of activities are available on our doorstep, and you can mountain bike – The killer loop, or hike a huge variety of walks straight from the Inn . The whole of The Black Mountains are literally on our doorstep.
The pub provides generous servings of very tasty home cooked food, a fine selection of local real ales, with a log burning stove in the bar area, and another lovely log burning stove with leather sofas to sit on, in the lounge area.
Alternatively you can stay in one of our bunkhouses/bunkbarn, which is located adjacent to the pub, and cook in a fully equipped self-catering dining kitchen.
We regularly cater for guests from all over the UK, and quite frequently from further afield, we believe this cosmopolitan mix, helps give The Dragons Back a very special and welcoming atmosphere.
