The Forest Cottages

Accommodation

Are you looking for a homely cottage in a peaceful environment where you can escape, relax and unwind ? Are you looking for onsite facilities which both adults and children can enjoy ? The Forest Cottages offers you a warm welcome at their family run self-catering cottages in the beautiful Vale of Kerry on the border of Montgomeryshire and Shropshire. The Forest Cottages provides 3 quality traditional cottages and a spacious log cabin two of which have private hot tubs in their secluded gardens. We welcome children of all ages and there is plenty to entertain them with an outside play area, tennis court and games room, as well as tame animals to feed. Dogs are welcome in all but Forest Lodge. Holidays support our charity Dal Dy Dir which provides respite breaks for families with disabilities.

Forest Lodge - 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, hot tub

Forest Lodge is a quality log cabin crafted from northern Scandinavian pine. We designed the holiday lodge to provide comfortable accommodation for couples and families. It has 3 bedrooms, a spacious sunny sitting room with French doors opening onto a large private patio with views across our garden and woodland. There is a large luxury hot tub which is private to the lodge, secluded and not overlooked (only included in direct bookings) The single storey log cabin is set in a secluded and private area and is accessed via a ramped walkway. There is parking close to the lodge at the start of the walkway. Pets are not allowed in the lodge so it is an ideal holiday home for guests with pet allergies.

Forest Keep - 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms

Forest Keep was converted from the coach house to create a 3 bedroom holiday cottage and its large south-facing patio doors allow plenty of light to flood into the living room. The bell tower was lovingly restored and the iron railings which now surround and fully enclose the patio, were once part of the dog kennels inside the coach house. The holiday cottage is attached to Forest Cottage allowing both to interconnect through lockable doors when required for larger groups. There is parking directly outside cottage in the courtyard.

Forest Cottage - 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, hot tub

Forest Cottage was once the chauffeur's cottage and is typical of a Victorian 2 bedroom cottage. It has been extensively restored as holiday accommodation and includes original features such as the Edwardian feature fireplace and iron fireplaces in bedrooms. The cottage is attached to Forest Keep allowing both to interconnect for larger groups. A hot tub jacuzzi spa for private exclusive use (excludes multi-cottage bookings) is located to the side of the cottage garden close to the front door for convenience. It is private to the cottage and is not overlooked.

Forest Byre - 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms

Forest Byre was once the gardener's cottage back in the 1920s when it was converted from a byre. It has been extensively restored as holiday accommodation and includes original features such as the slate fireplace and sash windows. The 2 bedroom holiday cottage is detached but adjacent to our stables and the garden is fully enclosed. There is parking directly outside the cottage in the courtyard.
