Review

Throughout this website you will find many restaurants that offer the highest levels of not only hospitality and customer service, but the best food in that area, and where possible the highest quality of locally sourced produce. I say all that, because one of the many restaurants were proud to have on this site and featured within our books is The Groes Inn. Together with myhead designer Gordon, we booked a table and despite the restaurant being very busy with Xmas bookings they managed to fit us in. The Groes is situated within the rolling hills of the Conwy Valley and being just a short drive away from Conwy, it is easily accessible. When we arrived we were pleasantly greeted by the staff and the smell of an open fire wafted through the place which really made us feel right at home. We ordered just a main each as it was lunchtime and after our drinks the food came fairly quickly, which is great, as for those who only have an our for lunch, The Groes definitely can be an option. Gordon ordered the traditional dish of 'Sausages and Mash' whereas I couldn't resist the seaside favourite of 'Fish & Chips' I don't need to go into particular detail about each dish in this particular review as you are all very familiar with both these dishes.Upon asking Gordon for his personal opinion, we were both unanimous, and there was no doubt that the food was exactly what we were led to expect. The dishes were not only thoroughly tasty but presented well, and as if that wasn't enough, upon a closer look at the menu, I found it to be great value for money, which in today's present climate is another thing we take into consideration upon choosing where we choose to eat.Plenty of car parking space is available, the reason being, The Groes doesn't just have a very popular restaurant, but also has a very high standard of bedrooms available. There are not many hotels that we feature both the accommodation and the restaurant together, that should give you all the hints you need to why you should pay a visit to The Groes Inn very soon.
