The Lighthouse Hotel at Corsewall Point near Stranraer is a hidden gem on Scotland's dramatic coastline. Set in a converted lighthouse, this wonderfully situated hotel features a handful of traditionally decorated rooms, each providing a cozy and comfortable stay. John and Helen, the passionate owners, have infused their spirit into the place, giving it a distinct charm that you can feel as soon as you step inside. One of the highlights of the hotel is a room by my own namesake, the Stevenson Room, in reality, a nod to the famous family of lighthouse engineers. The hotel's restaurant, led by Helen's son Richard, offers delightful culinary experiences that complement the stunning coastal views and will leave you more than satisfied. The Lighthouse Hotel is not just a place to stay; it's an experience that brings you closer to Scotland's maritime heritage while providing all the comforts of a modern getaway.

I really liked this place, the rooms are homely and comfortable, food offering second to none and the staff and owners make you feel like one of the family.
