A beacon for high quality, locally produced food, with a beautifully balanced and small menu, created by our talented team headed by Jonathan Hardy. Situated in the beautiful Derbyshire countryside near the Staffordshire border, the surroundings are some of the best of what the Derbyshire countryside has to offer. Our location is a relaxing escape from the hustle bustle of town or city life, where often you'll spot the free range chickens exploring our garden or leaping lambs in the neighbouring fields.

Here at The Lighthouse we are dedicated to providing fantastic, freshly prepared food with great service at reasonable prices. Located behind the quaint Rose & Crown pub, The Lighthouse is a beautiful place to enjoy a romantic meal, occasion with loved ones or simply a great meal when you just don't feel like cooking! Our chef's describe their menu as classic British with a distinct French accent. Where ever possible we support local suppliers and source as many ingredients within as close a radius as possible- even our team all live within 10 miles and know and love this area as much as we do. Everything we produce is homemade, we smoke our own fish, (and have been known to catch the odd trout the day before serving it on our menu!) create our own jams and chutneys and even the treats we serve with your after dinner tea and coffee's are made onsite- prepared with the highest attention to detail. Our menu changes with the seasons and there is always a special course available that will capture the flavour of that season perfectly. If you have specific dietary requirements please contact us and our chef will discuss your needs with you to ensure your meal is perfect. We believe that one visit to The Lighthouse and you will want to return time and time again.

The restaurant can be hired for any private functions, with our dining room lending itself to small intimate weddings, birthday celebrations or any special occasion. Hire is available any day of the week at your request, we have no set price list as our chef will design a formal style menu or fabulous buffet around your needs. We have been privileged to host many special events from big birthdays, reunions, anniversaries and christenings and this year we have our first Lighthouse Weddings booked.
